Photographer's Note
Crown Range - The Crown Range lies between Queenstown and Wanaka. The road over the range, known as the Crown Range Road, is the highest main road in New Zealand. It reaches an altitude of 1121 meters, which does bring challenges. In winter, the road is often covered in snow and ice, making for very difficult driving conditions.

A beautiful photo of the tree matching the back and forth flow of the background. You can almost feel the wind blowing from right to left.
Knowing how difficult it is to capture the contrast of the tree against the varing background that your eyes automatically compensate for, you did a good job here. I don't know what access you had, but a photo from downslope up towards the lighter sky could have made a great black & white image.
Tfs,
Mark
