Photographer's Note

Went out this evening and it's truly becoming autumn here in Norway these days. For a couple of nights there have been minus degrees, and people are dressing up. I found this image descriptive for how I feel things are right now at home; the year is soon ending, the darkness is growing longer every day and there will be some months before it will turn again...!

Nice picture, I like the mystery on this landscape but where is the focus? I think it's on the stone at the bottom right but I'm not sure! Are tou using manual focus or autofocus for this picture?

Hi Terje, nice to see you around again.

The image may be dark and gloomy but it still has a special attraction to it when looked at from the right angle, just like winter.

The bright stone path leading off-center in between the soft foggy shadows of a park landscape makes a very effective composition with a lot of mood.

This image I like very much Terje, very moody with good composition, simple yet interesting. The line of bricks really makes this image, the only thing I miss is some human element, preferably somewhere on the left.

Terje!! I'm so pleased to see you around here, and precisely at the moment I'm connected (otherwise impossible to keep up because so many photos being uploaded...). Such a wonderful mood and atmosphere, well rendered in b&w. I really wish you'd post some more, being one of the photographers I appreciate the most in TE.

Super shot ! This is so difficult to 'capture' the mist... I love the final result with the tough grain and wet silhouettes of autumn. Really a nice work, a bit frightening too by its atmosphere.

Very moody shot, Terje. A very strong feeling of autumn is created by the b/w and the fog. I appreciate very much the diagonal line of the path. Well done.

I have a strange fascination with mist and dullness. This photo appeals to me. It reminds me of dark, depressing, damp January days here in Ireland. Then I feel so lucly that we have the seasons. The morbid winters give us a better appreciation for those glorious green summer days.
