Japanese Apricot Blossam, a photo from Tokyo, Kanto

The sun shines through the trees in the distance and back-lights this Japanese Apricot (ume) blossom, also casting a shadows of the stamen on to the paper like petals of the flower to the right.
This was in Rinshinomori Park in Meguro.

The whites are perfectly exposed, not blown out. What kind of metering did you use to capture? A pleasing shot.

The flowers themselves are gorgeous, placement in the screen in right on, color is nice, well defined from the background and it's in sharp focus. The problem of course is the bright spots in the upper left. They pull the eye, alot. With Trek Earths TOS I'm not sure if it's allowed, but you could draw a line around them in PShop and at least tone them down, so they aren't quite so bright.
