Photographer's Note
This is at the end of a Kendo practice. Yesterday it was about 35 degrees C in this hall. These kids wear that gear for several hours a day swinging bamboo swords at each other. They are usually at the point of collapsing by the end. I find that all sports clubs, brass band, even the shogi club, in Japanese high schools show the same dedication. That said, I must add that I have seen people doze off watching Shogi but I have yet to see a player collapse after a match. :)
The only place to stand is facing the windows. I am still learning how to deal with backlight (but I want to avoid the flash).

Hi Jason,
Interesting photo. Thanks for sharing. ^_^
There is some disturbance in the image, but overall it is good. Good focus and good angle.
I am familiar with Kendo, bu not Shogi. What is Shogi?
Regards,
Richard

Hello Jason,
Interesting image. I think you did a good job with this photo, you captured a great deal of detail even with the back light. Nicely done. TFS.
