ARDVRECK CASTLE
Here we are getting a bit closer to Ardvreck Castle it’s a sort of walk with me group of photos, not really photos that have anything to do with composition or any kind of skill, just taken purely to show you around the place that the Castle is situated on.
The Loch that surrounds the Castle is called Loch Assynt and is a fresh water Loch and around 80 metres deep just of from where the Castle is built, that’s the deepest part the rest of it is around 20 to 50 metres deep and is around 8 to 9 km long.
The Hill you can see to the right of my photos first and second photos I should say, is called Quinag and it reaches a hight of 764 metres.
The main road passes close by to the right of my photos.
All the history of the Castle is written beside photo one, and for the people who like to know what setting I shot the photo at well here they are, remembering that the weather that day was dry which is is fairly rare for Loch Assynt and the light had a blue haze, something that I fail to take good photos in, so if you have any good advice on that problem then please share it with me.
I was using a ND8 graduated Filter.

photos that show us things without trying to be artful often finish up working best - photos that like haiku 'show don't tell' - i must get up to Scotland again soon

Hi, Donald.
Your light is just fine. The colors are excellent and I like the way you've composed this shot. It's like a virtual tour. :)) I can't believe that people of substance had a home in that delapidated looking dwelling. Though, when they lived in it, it was probably much grander. Nice shot, my friend! Warm regards,
Shelly
