Photographer's Note
Went for a walk yesterday morning. We've had a lot of foggy weather lately, so I struggled out of bed at eight to my church only three minutes away. Since I just moved down here from Trondheim, I'm a newbie here and have to discover my "homeplace". I'll be posting a bit fresh pictures from here in the future!
Some more creative shots from this morning you'll find on Treklens.
I did all kinds of pictures this morning, but I wanted to present the building itself (I know it's a bit small in this composition).
I pulled the levels a bit, and cropped a tiny bit on the right.

Excellent picture.
We are always travelling in the picture, seeking the real subject of the scene. The Field (a cimetery ?) the trees the church ?
The composition is wonderful. The levels of grey are harmonious.
And it seems to bee a nice place...

Interesting composition and excellent contrasts. The big tree looks perfectly symmetical. I like your frame, well chosen for this photo. Good work!

Very well done Terje. You let see us how is possible make a great photo even it`s a bad weather... :-)
Wonderfull scenery in B&W. For my opinion ( and that I really mean, only for my opinion!) You could give for a very good frame, a inside-line more gray tone then black, Just little bit less black...
But it`s overall a beautiful, amazing work. I love it.
Regards, Don.

The fog in this photograph creates a fantastic dreamy atmosphere. Well composed, and the frame comes out pretty well also. I like the way everything seems to be fading and vanishing slowly..

Oh Terje, we are lost in the fog these days! This a fine fogpicture even though the church might take a minor role. But the feeling of fog is shown so well as the objects get weaker with the distance. Very well done!

Very lovely composition in many tones of grey. Yes the church is little but it still comes out great between the trees.
Unfortunately there are a lot of compression artefacts in the sky, like a half circle, which is a little annoying.
I would have also liked to see a little more of the cimetary at the bottom.
I think that you big white frames works very well here, as if the image of a church and people resting in peace is surrounded by purity.

terje, this is an absolutely great photo. you are keeping a lot of mystery in this shot, the church seems to loom out of the fog, out of nowhere? or the other way round seems to disappear in the fog. i like this strong contrast, emphasizes by your choice of b&w.. i am glad you have a black foreground, it really helps to the quality of this shot; congrats! so you moved out of Trondheim? hope ou like your new place...

Powerful shot, Terje, with a great sense of mystery provided by the foggy atmosphere and the fact that we are given only a glimpse of the church. I love the contrasting strengths of the grey.

ah, I read your note on "lost" and came by instinct to look..I thought I missed a recent fog one and yes I did :)
this is very very beautiful Terje..all the round trees and that dome in between looks very untimely...
(I hope you have a bigger size of the picture unlike me...would make a great print)..
and yes, we love fog pictures :)

Very nice composition Terke. I like the contrast between the white top of the photograph and the other part, contrasted.
The fog gives another dimension to it.
Well done.
