A view of fishing boats with Mount Vesuvius in the background, from Marina Grande at Sorrento. Marina Grande is the working harbour of Sorrento, and is less touristic than Marina Piccola, the playing harbour where the ferries come and go. Marina Grande is a more gritty, down to earth sort of place with its own charm. The views from here are great, with cliffs looming behind and Vesuvius rising from across the Bay of Naples.

Hi Vincent,
Fishing boats have always held so much romance for me, I guess it's because they are there to work in very difficult surroundings. Not today though, it all looks so peaceful, the three boats all moored in a line make a very pretty shot. I like the man in the rubber ducky, he adds some life to your capture.
Well done, a very nice scene.
