Photographer's Note
Late afternoon sun gilds the Bay of Naples as seen from Sorrento. This view is from Via Califano, but there are several great viewpoints along the cliffs of Sorrento. The town has a wonderful mix of natural and man-made scenery, with endless possibilites for photography.
I used a polariser to bring out the colours, although it darkens the view and makes the exposure time longer. My camera has image stabilisation, which helps in these circumstances.

Hello Vincent,
A finely constructed photograph, I like the detail you've included on camera right then let the left of frame show us the view. Very good composition, especially the curved fence which adds the contrast to the square elements but compliments the arches in the doorway and retaining wall. I'm sure this was no accident on your part.
You've picked a beautiful time of day for this capture, the light is superb, so too the soft colours. Lovely work.
Regards
Peter
