Photographer's Note
You people should be with me here now. We have this incredible weather here in Ski. It's foggy, frosty and cold...wonderful for people with cameras ;)
This is of course PP, but only in toning, levels & grains. The scene is unscattered, and it felt like being inside the image!

I find the grainy manipulation interesting and appropriate because you say there is fog & frost. That is the experience that your photo reminds me of. I also like the composition: the two diagonal lines (tree tops, top left to middle; hedge & tree bottoms, bottom left to middle) fading into a misty blur. Quite unusual and interesting I think. I can look at this picture for a long time.

It愀 a wonderful pic with the trees in diagonal. But I think it愀 too grainy. Maybe a little less grain would be better.

I like what you did here. It reminds me of snow storm. The slight sepia is good which gives it a vintage look as with the grain. Nothing wrong with this image.
Well done

Very attractive scene with good composition and nicely layed perspective.
I'm very pleased with sepia tone and idea of adding some grain - maybe a bit to heavy, but still very very good, Terje!

Very beautiful picture, "artistic" one. I love this grain, fantastic effect. The crop is good too, maybe I would have shoot a little bit more on the right. Very beautiful picture Terje.

A photo that is created, not just taken. Post-processing is a balancing act and the balance itself is a part of the impact. I think you are perfectly in balance here, the post-processing captures and enhances the mood that was already there, making the communication stronger. (When the balance tips, the post-processing takes over and the image is not seen anymore)

Hej Terje,
I like very much this photo : the grain, colours, framing... all is very nive.

Very interesting shot, both the original capture and the post processing I think. Certainly your toning gives the look of a very old print (Luko would likely be able to tell you what kind of paper and toning). I think one of the things I like here is that with a little immagination, the trees can appear to be many different things.

hmmmh, perhaps bromoil technique or something like that, grain is far too regular in the highlights to be somehing I know (replying to Darren ;)...)... or simply not a photo but a charcoal drawing on irregular heavy Canson paper.
I agree with Torben that PP balance is responsible for more than 50% of the result here, hence you need to be very precise with your effects. All in all, lovely but a hint more contrast would be welcomed IMHO : it has already balanced beyond the non-photo line (or may be is it me, because I just can't find any chemical PP that would emulate this one...).

Great shot, Terje! The tree line fading away is very impressive and I find your PP, adding grains in particular quite appropriate for the effect.
