Photographer's Note
The Casa Malaparte is a modern-looking building perched on a cliff on the south coast of the island of Capri. It was built in the 1940s for the journalist Curzio Malaparte, and is quite isolated. The orange colour is similar to the colour of some of the local plants: compare it with the orange leaves on the plant in the foreground. This view is from a walking track along the top of the cliffs on the south side of the island, where you look down to the grey limestone cliffs and the blue blue Mediterranean below.
